Were these lads allowed to remain in the building after shouting abuse at the Blaze players? If you saw them shouting abuse, why did you not contact security and get them escorted out of the building? There is no place for verbal insults in a family sport IMHO.

So you want the coach plus all the blaze fans cheering Brad being injured and using less than savoury language out do you ?? Not hearing the abuse its hard to comment on how bad it was surely and you dont appear to have heard anything ? I did hear what went for blaze fans having a go at Brad and it seems several people heard the coach.

For the record I am not saying the fans I heard should have been removed - made to shut up would have been enough

I thought exactly the same, For a bloke the size of Phill Hill to be held back so easily by that extremely large and terrifying Russ Cowley is appalling, He should have been able to swat Cowley out of his way and get in and help. Its no good being big and strong if you are not prepared to use it to help out a teammate

It's not as easy as that though is it? at the time Brad was on the floor and not moving, the last thing i guess the players thought he needed were 4 to 6 6 ft plus games putting pressure on any potential injury they thought they had at the time.


A lot of the guys were jumping in but the linos in fairness were doing a good job of trying to get campbell off of him while making sure Voth wasnt seriously hurt.

good close fought game spoilt by a ref assisting in 2 goals. I was glad when I saw Thompson reffing as he has been good this year ... Up to last night. Why was Campbell even on the ice to fight after his actions? Disgraceful. On the plus side I belive the team can contest Brads match ban. As Jester pointed out a higher ban can be given if the ref tells the players to stop and they ignore the warning which explains it, but I _think_ it's only bans of 3 games or less given by the disaplinary hearing that can't be contested, not match bans given by the ref.

Its a shame that DevilsTV don't put up highlights for all home games. Not just for the benefit of the fans (which would be great even after seeing the game live), but I think it could also help out with all the poor refereeing that has gone on lately. I think its great that some of you guys have sent a letter to Elite towers, but with video footage you would think it would make the case alot stronger.

Sorry Gazza but I must disagree the linos and ref did a crap job considering Voth wasn t moving and could have had a head injury or anything, the longer it took to get players off Brad there was just more Blaze players steaming in and our players let them. The leagues stupid suspended bans have made sure Brad is unable to defend himself or step up for team mates, and to top it off we get no protection from officials, its about time some of the TEAM toughness shows on the ice cos we won t get protection from the stripey muppets
