August04 inhind sight i'm sure brad would agree, however in the heat of the moment imagine you have just had your nose broken been attacked by 3 men, if it was me i would want severe revenge there and then and if you are honest so would you!! if the elite donkeys ban brad for any length of time at all then we may as well pack up the rink and all go and play tiddlywinks.

Got home last night absolutly furious with what I had just seen.

Campbell - that was one of the most cowardly attacks I have ever seen and you deserve a lengthy suspension (as Voth would have had if it had been the other way around).

Another thing that got me going - why didn't the officials get Campbell off the ice when Voth was still down getting treatment on the floor? We could all see he was getting thrown out of the game for what he did, yet he was allowed to skate around looking for another fight - he was even allowed to skate over to our bench and start mouthing off! Shambles.
Totally agree!!!!

From the video footage on DevilsTV it's clear that Campbell is still on the ice and there is no way Brad would have known he was getting thrown out of the game.

The fact he is still on the ice is mindblowing!!!

I don't blame Brad for doing what he did. I would have done the same thing myself.

the blaze coach was clearly heard to shout to a blaze player who was taking verbal insults from 2 lads who couldn't have been any more than 14yrs old
Were these lads allowed to remain in the building after shouting abuse at the Blaze players? If you saw them shouting abuse, why did you not contact security and get them escorted out of the building? There is no place for verbal insults in a family sport IMHO.
So the same should happen when a player does the same thing!!
Or maybe not if hes a Blaze player :?: and I have witnesses!!

Hallelujah,JESUS LIVES, :!: :!: Brad Voth gets checked to the ice, lying on the ground like a little stable donkey at a christmas nativity, all of a sudden gets up and starts looking for retribution, and still can't take out Campbell,Voth has been dishing out dirty hits year on year,it's about time someone dished it out to him and give his some of his own medicine.
Blaze were shortbenched, and you still couldn't beat us,you ain't got no chance of winning jack this year, some of your comments on this thread are laughable, time and again at the Skydome, devils fans have beem found to be arrogant, abusive, and downright rude.
Cannot wait for the xmas double header, another 4 points towards our title, while you'll be languishing in mid table, see you all on the 26th
A :D :D :D :D BLAZE fan

I'm a Blaze fan and i think you're an IDIOT......

we arent going to agree much of these events... but we can do without your little crayon scribblings thank you.....

isnt it time for your bath for school tomorrow

Well said!!

Are you for real what gives any fan the right to abuse a player verbally or physically for that players actions on the ice, NONE at all. and yes i'm sure you would have slapped him, obviously you would then be rightly banned from ever attending a hockey match again. Jeez get some perspective people
regarding this comment, i did not specify whether it was right or wrong to abuse a player, and what I said was is if i was being challenged by a player i would defend myself just as a player should rightfully defend himself if the shoe was on the other foot.....
Regarding whether its right or wrong to abuse a player..... Morally you are right, it is wrong to say nasty things to people...but come on! these are tough professional athletes and i am sure they have had there fair share of abuse in their time...end of the day it goes with the territory and when an away team comes to town they are on our ice playing with our puck and that means they are the bad guys!! verbal abuse is part of the game players scream it at one another, to the refs and to fans so why cant the fans voice their opinions to the players when they do something wrong?? Nearly 2000 other people on Sat did, and if Campbell has hard feelings about what people were calling him then well i think its time to hang up the skates IMO.........

on another note heard it down the grape vine today Vother is fine might have a slightly broken nose, but is in good spirits and 100% contempt with the idea of giving Campbell a good smashing come boxing day! Merry Xmas Campbell cos its gonna be a painful day after!!

A fair fight on the ice does not attract this sort of behaxiour, however the cowardly attack and animalistic behaviour by Cambell is bound to get a reaction from fans who are passionate about sport

Firstly its great to see DTV being updated with the match highlights

Secondly, as I was unable to make the game it was the first time I saw the Campbell / Voth incident.... I really hope what Hockey Warrior heard on the gape vine is true, as its what Campbell deserves!

Yes and what gives the PLAYER the right to abuse a FAN :?:

Firstly, I thought the Team performance was below par. Should have put the game out of reach well before the 3rd period.
Coventry worked hard, rode their luck, took liberties and got away with a steal!
Campbell is a complete Coward, the hit and ensuing assault on Voth should be reviewed and a long ban be applied.
The Ref lost the plot. Not backed up by His stripy's. Whilst Voth received treatment, Campbell should have been escorted to the box or off the playing area. As it was he eventually got to the bench area to soak up some verbals. And bask in his cheap shots.
Who instigated the fight? Watching the video Voth skates across past the Coventry bench and points to the Coward, verbals are exchanged and gloves dropped! Who instigated? Work that one out! A key point in handing out the penalties.
As for the nonsense about Fan’s verbal exchange with the Bench. Well what do some of you Guys expect red blooded fans to do sit quietly and watch? Professional Hockey player and officials who engage in banter will get two fold back. Draw the line at abusive language and racial abuse. Our rink has always upheld a Family night culture, always welcoming support from opposition Fans.
I will still react to cheap shots from visiting teams in the only way I know, that is to howl the roof off! I would expect the same from any other supporters.
Finally, don’t mess with Voth, not only will He stand up for himself and His team mates, but He is the most capable enforcer in the league. His ice time goals and points are second to none. Campbell keep your head up when next we meet. I feel a good strong hit is coming your way! Fair Play!!!

Does anyone know when the Disciplinary panel will be viewing the Referee's decision and Vother's Match penalty? (which if upheld, I understand will mean that he has to miss the CC Semi-final)

Also does anyone know if the Team's are allowed to report to the Elite League, their contructive comments on the standard of officiating at matches - Not from the obvious Sour Grapes perspective, but from the point that if we always do what we've always done - we'll always get what we've always got (ie a rather poor standard of officiating, that spoils a significant number of matches week in week out, and results in reducing crowd numbers for a lot of teams in the Elite League)

At the same time, there should be a review of Campbell's disgusting and cowardly behaviour at that match. Never mind who instigated the fight at the end. Campbell deserves much more than a match ban for such a cowardly attack on Brad. Damn sure if it was the reverse situation, Brad would be punished for it. Let's just hope the powers that be see the light - the Vother was attacked and injured, pure and simple.

What annoyed me about the game was that they continually cross checked, tripped, hacked away at Tyler with now penalties, one incident is quite clear in front of the goal on devils tv extra hightlights, ref is standing right there !

I believe the one shown was called but we scored so it was obviously waved off.

I think noisey girl is talking about a different one where voth was cross checked again, no more than 3 feet away from thompson. Play stopped but there was no call.
