What you listening to

Hey

Ger - yeah i have a few Alexisonfire albums. Never seen them live though. Ive always preferred Dallas on his own.

Sigur Ros seem to have got their music everywhere on TV. A nature program isnt complete without a bit of Sigur Ros these days! lol

Steve - I certainly wasn't expecting others on here to know of Anberlin. I only discovered them about a year ago so this is my first opportunity to see them live!

Plenty more gems of underground bands i could list as well. A couple of decent local bands below.

Attack! Attack! - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGfpTTPCFwc&a=4oVf-d_DwKCvVR0cIOuOqENtalDDd4CH&list=ML&playnext=1 - A band i've been friendly with for many years since the beginning when they played under the name of Dopamine. Starting to get some recognition recently with songs on TV, etc and a few big tours supporting Lost Prophets in Japan etc.

Paper Aeroplanes - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9GUwQfq5t8&a=AYMcY2vx8GSFI5hqtQ6omCD-W8FdfohF&list=ML - A more mellow local band who again ive known for years. Used to play as 'Halflight' untill they recently changed their name. Loads of beautiful acoustic songs.

Pearl Jam > Backspacer

Probably the bands last album, which although was expected is still hard to swallow. What this band has done for me/us is colossal and we will always live in their debt. The best rock band to ever walk the earth, Eddie Vedder, brilliant lyricist, brilliant man.

........ Nothing lasts forever ............

Poison the well - Nerdy

Seen these in the Barfly about 5 years ago maybe with Dillenger Escape Plan. From front to back it was just a huge pit! Probably 1 of the best gigs I've been to
I was at that gig! :D (sorry only just seen the thread)

I believe the third band was Ephel Duath - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jk9wwlzuwJE

Amazing line-up for just a tenner if I remember correctly :D

Yup that's them! What a mental gig! Not sure if you noticed someone letting people run and springboard off their backs into the pit? Well I was letting some mates do that! :D

System of a Down whilst sat in the Pit Pendulum in Nottingham.

Is it me, or is the Pit the best pub ever?!? Heavy metals all the time :-D

Top suggestion, when a Devils player takes a penalty we should play Man in a Box by Alice In Chains. We have to play Kimdracula at some point in the night, and drop the puck to the outro of Bloody Cape.

T minus one hour to Deftones. I'm a happy Welsh crip right now :-D :-D
