Summer Hockey.

Well guys. It's the end of another season. And it's flown by to quickly for me.
Does anybody have any idea what hockey is on through the summer?
e.g Demons, Lightning, Comets fixtures?

Or anything really. Just need something to get me through the off-season.

Cheers.

The Cardiff Eagles are playing all summer long in the Southern Conference and have a match at 10pm this Saturday against the Army Ice Hawks and I believe our buddies the Lightening have a game at 8pm, so two games of decent hockey for you, admission free.

The match promo for the Eagles game is here www.youtube.com/cardiffeagles and check out our web site for more info as most of our face off’s will be around 16.30 throughout the summer.

Cardiff Ice Hounds play the RAF Bluewings Sunday 11th April at 4.30pm. Currently unbeaten and top of the Southern Conference.

They have a few players that have played at Junior Level, ENL and beyond.

Nice time for hockey to break up a sunday evening, Watch the thinking mans game on the 1st line, 2 kids and a goat skating like demented fools on 2nd line, then wrapped up the Choas Theory that is the 3rd line!

Comedy and goals for sure!

Cardiff Titans, now in their 22nd year, have a few homes games during the summer:

Saturday May 1st 10pm v Black Bears
Saturday May 29th 4.30pm v Eastern Stars
Sunday June 27th 4.30pm v Solihull Vikings
Saturday July 31st 4.30pm v Newcastle Predators
Saturday August 21st 4.30pm v Blackburn Falcons

The first three fixtures are against some of the UK's elite rec teams. Over the last few seasons the Titans have lost over 10 players to various ENL teams, but will be looking to cement their current position as a UK top 5 Rec team.

Is there anything like last years summer competition going on again?

Chris.
Doubt it as it didnt really provide value for money for the teams and 6 rec teams created their own rec league run in the teams training slots with 2x25min running clock periods a 7 goal mercy rule and no icings which i found worked a bit better not sure what the overall feedback was from other teams but the table and results can be found at http://www.cardiff-demons.com on the winter cup bit.

Next Sunday (18th April), the Devils U14's team play at home to Chelmsford at 4.15pm in a big match for the group. Having won a tough game in Romford on Saturday 3-2, the Devils have three hard games remaining in the league, and require three points to win the "A" League title and secure their place in the end of season National Playoff Finals in Sheffield in May. This should be a very entertaining match, and entry is FREE TO ALL!! Everybody involved in the group would love to see some extra support at the rink to cheer the team on as they look to close out the season with some silverwear. This Cardiff team is proud to boast 4 International players, as well as 3 Regional Conference players, and has some very good future talent on display, so please come down and cheer them on if your free and looking for your hockey fix!!
