Fantastic news for Nathan - go and show them what you can do! Future is looking bright with the development of British netminders. Stevie will be retiring in the next couple of seasons - by then a good British (or Welsh? ;) ) netminder replacement for him should be a reality.

Great to see the Capitals' fans so elated that they have an Elite League team.....and so pleased to welcome Nate as the first signing. :D

Such a pity to read all the negative comments about it from that idiot Simmsey and some of the posters on Steeltalk. If a player is ever going to prove himself, he needs to start somewhere. Give Nathan a chance to show what he can really do at this level.

Netminders need regular ice time to improve. If Brits are ever going to be starters then someone needs to take a chance on them.

No-one expects much of the Caps this season after their last outing, so this is a great chance for them and Nathan. He is probably coming fairly cheap, as he is looking to prove himself. That will give Scott money to buy in some exciting play makers. Even if they lose more than they win I'd hope they will be exciting to watch.

Coventry Blaze sign Shea Guthrie.

...erm..not sure on this one. He's a very fast skater apparently but had back injury last season and scored no goals.

If he is fit then he is an excellent player. saw him play for the Everblades in a losing performance against South Carolina Stingrays best player on ice and scored a peach of a goal. Thought at time what an excellent signing he would be for us. Have to wait and see if he shines for Blaze!!
