i must say i was very impressed with the match night at cardiff bay on sat....even if the game was a non contest, but from the minute we pulled into the car park i could just sense it was hockey time. Reminded me an awful lot of the old Eisbaren Berlin rink, in ummm berlin, the difference being in Berlin they have stalls and stuff out the front of the rink and people start turning up 3 or 4 hours before the game and they have a beer tent every one has a good old chat and a drink there are BBQ's going and a DJ "spinning" hockey related tunes, it becomes a real event. It would be nice if the devils could re-create this on a smaller scale i think it would really work and could be a nice little money spinner, esp when the colder weather comes in could sell mulled wine etc. Im sure there are rules and regulations.

Over the last season or 2 at the Odyssey its been waking up on a saturday and groaning oh i gotta go to hockey tonight.
