Confirmed by belfast , Scott conway not returning..its on EIHL transfer hub , you can bet your bottom dollar he will be back when belfast only got 30 players on roster left.
Thats a huge loss for the Giants, 90 points from 51 games is huge, and 78 points from 53 games the season before, those are some figures.

Exactly and some fans on here wouldn't want him here, regardless what he said about officials in the EIHL and behind scenes problems with belfast, he would be on top of my list to get him at devils if I were coach , it's all about performance on ice that counts. When carruth and faryna had meltdowns there was no reaction from devils fans at the time..

As said before.

Giants are taking the piss.

There budget is surely above the

Gentleman's agreement wage cap lol
There hasn't been a wage c

There hasn't been a wage cap for years....but just how does anyone know what any other team spends? It's just people's perception of the stamp of player signed without any real knowledge

The thing is with wage caps teams in any sport can be within the wage cap and then add bonuses, extras etc that would then bump up the contract but the wage itself can still come under a wage cap, there are always loopholes that can be taken advantage of if you have the right lawyer. Non of us mere mortals know what is being spent or what players are looking for so we can't judge that people are breaking rules as non of us really know for certain, it's all just speculation.

All you have to do is look at giants team compared to any other eihl team.

They are clearly spending way more than them.

If you can't see that then fool you

As long as they are within the wage cap they're not breaking any rules, all the extras can add up to a substantial amount which doesn't come under the wage cap remit, it's called being clever. "Wage cap" is the main wording, not "Contract cap".
In everyday life you would be on a wage e.g. £16 PH that's the wage BUT your contract then may have bonuses of discounts, company car, accommodation, courses, clothing, food allowance etc, those do not come under your wage.

Agree there's lots of loopholes which could amount to double what players are earning, could be anything from car sponsorship and fuel paid for, acommodation paid for, Ben probably got his own house so he would get other perks no one knows about, could go on and on but good luck to the players, it's a short career.

There is a wagecap. The EIHL announced it at the start of the 21-22 season to help teams after Covid.
Kelman has confirmed it several times since. Are you calling him a liar?

I've not seen anyone from the Giants or any other club claim there is no wage cap?

So the question everyone wants an answer to, and not one poster has given a figure. What is it? It's as Wannabe said earlier. It goes on and on and on and on.
