Rumours & Offseason Nonsense 2018/19

Must love hockey quite a bit to put his long-term health at risk; difficult for some players to hang them up.

He is definitely not the player he was as in the first season he arrived - but he also doesn’t have the same quality and chemistry on his lines

He's never been a dynamic creative player. In fact, he's a weird style of player. A pure goalscorer who can go missing in games until he pops up in front of the net and scores out of nowhere!

Hmmm, maybe see it from a different angle whereby the ‘bad news’ is for other teams!
Now that would be a good twist for Steeler fans - still don’t agree with how it’s done. Imagine your doctor calling you to say ‘come in to see me tomorrow so I can give you some bad news’

The sad news is that they had signed Liam Stewart from the Flames but he then announced a year out from hockey ,announced on twitter.

Surprised that Steelers signed him in the first place. Hard working player and decent bloke but is he worth an import spot in a team that needs to challenge for the league this year? Personally I don't think so. For Sheffield to win the league they need to be better than Cardiff and I cant imagine that we would see Liam Stewart in a Devils jersey. Early days yet but Steelers have to get their recruitment bang on this year and Stewart doesn't strike me as an arena team player (unless he was u23 or british which he isn't)

nelson leaving would be my guess.

Nelson has been linked to the Storm. And he has been discussed on here too as a 'would love to see him here' signing. What's not to like - an excellent player who's fast, feisty, sets up his line mates (and scores himself), works his socks off every shift.

True on all apart from face-offs. He's definitely not a specialist!

Nelson is a winger.

Certainly the most secretive, but as the saying goes Good Things Come To Those Who Wait. It has been said before that if you wait certain players become available, that were maybe hoping for a contract in higher leagues. It’s all about getting the right mix, and we have been lucky in that scenario, one things for sure after 2 amazing seasons, the club will be hungry for more success.
HAPPY HOCKEY DAYS
