Hey hey,

We'll be running Match Night Live! for this game from the usual location of http://www.the-inferno.co.uk/mnl

OJ is hosting the return playoff super mega game and as always can be reached before/during the game at matchnightlive@gmail.com

This will be the tenth meeting between the two Clubs with hopefully nine Devils wins being the tally. Going into the weekend the score line ove the Eight regular season meetings with the Stingrays yielded seven wins and a draw for the Devils but player coach Cloutier of the Stingrays says his team can cause an upset and progress to the playoff’s in Nottingham.

“We have had a good week of practice and the guys are ready. There has been a buzz this week and they are excited."

Hull Stingrays' net minder Christian Boucher says he can handle the pressure in this weekend's back-to-back play-off clashes with Cardiff Devils. He had this to say

"We will be the underdogs, but it's a challenge to take them on."

Former Devil Jason Silverthorn had this to say -

“When I was in Cardiff, in both years we upset the higher seeds, we played the away leg first and then came home knowing what we needed to do. It seems that is the way they like to do it.

Line up wise the Finnish forward Matti Uusivirta will return to the line-up after missing the last four games through injury. The Devils will be at full strength with the return of Kenton Smith barring any injuries in Saturdays game in Hull

Looks like ST holders seats that haven't been bought are now on general sale.

Checked where we sit and know that 2 of ours haven't bought yet and they're now avail to anyone.

Not sure what the stance is on them to be honest?

I would hope we open the game playing hard and forcing that early goal. A 2 goal lead would see Hull’s head drop and them open up as they force the game. If we play this smart, this could be a good win for us. However, we let discipline or our game plan get away from us and it could be the golf course for the lads. It appears Hull played very physical last night and no doubt will do the same tonight. We must not retaliate to anything. Keep our game head on and play is smart.

I don't think they will play as physical as they did last night. Last home game of the year and wanted to try get a lead to tonight's game. They threw the kitchen sink at us and tried to get us to fight but the team stayed calm and it helped

Very quick count - there seems to be just under 100 tickets left for blocks 2-14. Loads in 1 and 15 though.

Looking forward to tonights game. Wish we were 2 or 3 up from the first leg but it could be a lot worse. Really hope we get a couple of early goals to calm the nerves.

If lasts night game is anything to go by tonight will be a cracker. Yes Hull hit everything that moved but so did we, Weller, Hill, Voth, Tyler, even Pelle landing some big hits. Great playoff hockey.
One thing that amazes me with playoff hockey is how all of a sudden how tough players become and think they are. To quote a devils players "where have you been for the last 8 months".
The best part is that the Devils didn't raise to the constant mouthing of and stuck to the game plan, landed big hits and won the game.

There aren't many/any of the current teams who have it on a regular basis are there?

Although saying that, wasn't something similar to what you've just said proposed by Matt Burge?

We had it for a bit but it generally wasnt used and the BBC bloke didnt know what he was doing. And without the BBC bloke doing it Bizzarrely they didnt just let Brent Do it on his own. Seems he's good enough for the Olympics but not good enough for BBC Wales

I cant see much demand for it these days in all honesty, especially if it will put off people who can get to the game.

Was nobody at the game tonight ? we won guys Play offs next weekend come on Devils its our year !!!!!!!!!!!!
There's nothing to complain about!

Seriously though, a great win tonight against a tough Rays team and we maintain our record of having made the final 4 in every season of the Elite League. What will be, will be but if there is any justice in the world then we will gain revenge on the Giants for the play off final last year, the challenge cup this year and the Michel citing and then beat the steelers in the final to prove we really are the best team this year. Nottingham here we come!
