Has put up silly numbers in the Coast as a defenseman. A possible Fournier replacement. A Calgary connection. I've put his name on rumour threads for the past 5 years I think, although not backed by any evidence, more hope than anything. But I bet he'd be a great signing.

With those numbers I can't believe he's not a fixture in the ahl or one of the better European leagues. He looks like he'd make an amazing acquisition. I'm confident that whoever the club signs will be amazing though.

Funnily enough I noticed a Justin Register had started following the devils on Instagram and I did wonder if he might be a relation of Matt. Might be no relation but it’s such an uncommon surname. As you said he would be a replacement for Fournier and there’s a Calgary connection there. Surprising that he’s only played 43 AHL games when you look at his PPG record in the ECHL. Suggests he might not be the best defensively but you can probably put up with that if he scores 60+ points from D
