World Championships

Two good wins over the Netherlands this weekend for team GB, and the championships starting very soon. Was wondering if anyone could shed a bit of light on how the championships actually work from GBs perspective. Obviously I know we're not going to get that far, but I've looked on the IIHF site and the group stage looks pretty confusing.

Also does anyone know if any on the games will be on tv?

within that division GB would hope to pinch a 2nd or 3rd at a guess, especially given recent ranking movements.

usually the best we get is Simms doing a radio commentary - usually on BBC Cov and Warwickshire.

i've just realised kazakhstan have been demoted to our division, so probably 3rd is more likely!

i think the winners of division 1B (us) have a play off with the winners of 1A, and that team would be promoted to the 'elite' championship. nothing for 2nd.
