What's happened to CDSL?

Picking up from Sheincar's comment on another thread.

If the Red Army is the clubs own supporters club (not getting into the debate around that now) - what is happening to the CDSL?

I've read nothing about it being wrapped up.

Apparently the club are starting their own supporters club.

Therefore no more official CDSL support.

All queries regarding 50/50 and a supporters club run by the Devils should be addressed to the club. No committee member will be commenting further on this.

As said before a CDSL EGM will be held at the Wharf pub at 7.30 on 27 September. Emails have been sent to those for whom email addresses are held and letters will be sent to the rest of the members.

FYI

This is the content of an email sent to CDSL members after the meeting :

At the EGM those CDSL members present discussed and debated Paul
Ragan’s proposal to bring in-house the current Cardiff Devils
Supporters Club (CDSL) and rebrand it, the "Red Army" supporters club.
Thereafter two votes was held and I can now confirm the following..

The first vote was unanimous against the proposal that the Cardiff
Devils Supporters Club (CDSL) should be brought in-house, under the
control of the Cardiff Devils management organisation.

And the second vote was a majority decision in favour of the Cardiff
Devils Supporters Club (CDSL) continuing to exist and function as an
independent supporters club.

In addition two members of the supporters club expressed a keen
interest in becoming part of any such future committee for the “Red
Army” organised by the Cardiff Devils management.

I have since e-mailed Simon Hodgkinson and Paul Ragan from the Cardiff
Devils management regarding the results of the EGM and I am currently
waiting for a response.

And finally I also took the liberty to express to Simon and Paul the
Cardiff Devils Supporters Club (CDSL) continued support towards the
players and management of the Cardiff Devils.

Should you have any queries about the contents of this e-mail and or
the results of the EGM then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,
Andrew Bradbury

Also a 2nd message was sent

Dear Members,

For your back ground information following the second vote at the recent EGM where a majority decision of members were in favour of the Cardiff Devils Supporters Club (CDSL) continuing to exist and function as an independent supporters club which should not be brought in-house, under the control of the Cardiff Devils management organisation.

However in order for the supporters club (CDSL) to progress and develop in line with the above vote, there now exists an opportunity for CDSL members to become more involved with the supporters club (CDSL) committee as vacancies exist for the following roles: Chair and treasurer.

Should any CDSL member like to express an interest in becoming more involved with the supporters club (CDSL) committee and or would like to apply for the vacancy of Chair or treasurer then please do not hesitate to contact me. I shall look forward to your replies.

Kind regards,
Andrew Bradbury

Secretary - Cardiff Devils Supporters Club (CDSL)
