Titans make the Play Off Finals...

The Cardiff Titans have reached the Summer League Play-Off finals after overcoming last years winners, Chelmsford, in the semi-finals.

The final is to be held in Swindon next Sunday 16th August, with a face off being late afternoon (time to be confirmed), with the opponents likely to be our arch rivals Swindon themselves.

We will be taking a coach up for this, so if anyone is interested in joining us to see the play off final then please let us know. We are hoping to end our season on a High and bring back the trophy that we won back in 2005.

Sad to report but in the many traditions of Cardiff ice hockey the Titans lost the play off final on a penalty shoot out.

The game itself had it all for a rec game. Big hits, fights and a 6-6 scoreline after 60 mins. Goal for Titans not given in ot as ref didn't see it and then lose 2-1 in the shootout. Heart breaking stuff.

Thanks to all those who came to watch and support. Very much appreciated by all the lads. Really did make a big difference having some atmosphere in the rink.

Unfortunately with the cardiff rink potentially closing next summer we might have to mothball the 2010 season but we'll prob do it all again in 2011. Need some new rookies though. The veterans just can't get it done these days.

Good luck to the Devils for the season ahead and hopefully they have better luck than us.
