Makes me wonder how poor the global refereeing situation is!

As a related subject, with the NHL lockout should the Elite League look to 'borrow' some NHL officials? Could give ours some help (tips/advice) but also they could see it as a way to keep fit??

I know cost will get mentioned but maybe the NHL would subsidise it to ensure their referees are ready to go if/when they need to???!! Just a thought!

I read that last night and was really shocked that anyone would call up Hicks & Darnell for tournaments at that level.

Darnell is not fit to lace the skates of an NHL official. Very very poor at the weekend and listens far to much to whinning players.
