Ukraine are ranked 17th or 18th in the world and Kazakhstan (who won the Asian Winter Games ice hockey) are just above them, I think. Another win for Team GB would be fantastic.
Phil and Richie both sound like they are playing really well.

What a result. Ok we lost 2-1 but only got edged out in the final 6 minutes, and were leading up to the half way point.
This GB seem to be punching above our weight. We are out of the running for a gold (would need a miracle) but those results against those teams makes a statement about the quality of those Brits. Plus we have young guys coming up who look strong.
Provided we have the development in place things look bright for GB players going forward - which must be good for the sport.

Although the guys must be gutted to lose this game after taking the lead, it is nevertheless a fantastic achievement against one of the tournament favorites. Kazakhstan have several KHL players in their squad, some of whom play for the current KHL champions. A high standard of hockey for Team GB to be competing so well against. They should be proud - we are.
