Presumably they could still play at ice Sheffield, but the lack of capacity would affect their viability.

It’s in mothballs, as it should be, it will re-open when it’s safe to do so, nothing more, nothing less. It will still be the home of the Steelers.

Hi welcome i second that, not because of all the upheavel of last 4 months but some teams will not get a team or even venues in place unfortunatly, thats my take.
Most current players are leaving the eihl due to the virus and want to go home or try another league.

Rumours are panthers may not put a team forward this season to.

Let’s hops for the best but it’s all doom and gloom.

Do Cardiff devils know something we don’t because they are announcing a signing Friday.

It'll be interesting to hear Todd's interview this week about signings and contingency planning. The thing to bear in mind with the arena teams is the fact that they have a certain window of dates for the hockey season. The rest of the time they're hosting concerts and other events. If the season slips by a few months they've missed their window. Maybe that's the problem.

Most players have left the UK by now anyway, as it’s the close season so no sweat there. Devils absolutely know more than us they always do, 6 teams have announced signings not just us. If there’s a season Panthers will be in it, will there be a season that’s the one no one knows. If the season should start mid Nov that’s 16 weeks still to go, that’s a possibility, but by the same token it could be a no no. We live in hope with baited breath, on a more serious note, take good care everyone, fingers and toes crossed.

Devils and Steelers both have to plan for participating in European tournaments. For that, they have to have a team! Let's be hopeful that news will come in a while about the domestic front.

NHL are going ahead with a revised, remodelled Playoffs. Their draft lottery is in the Autum, not June as normal. Their new season will be starting v late this year with the schedule going possibly into Summer 2021.

I can’t see the CHL happening to be honest unless it’s towards the end of the year, from a very selfish point of view it won’t bother me one iota, our domestic league is what is the most important after safety of course.
