Desperate news. GM the GM loved ice hockey and loved the Panthers. On a personal level he was extremely helpful indeed whenever asked anything and on a wider level he ran the Panthers in a way that meant they won umpteen cups and playoffs. Hockey and life in general feels poorer today

Sad news. Moran was old school Panthers and while not always popular with their fans he devoted decades of service to them which is rare these days. R.I.P GM and sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Players come and go, coaches, owners and teams have come and gone, but GM the GM has always been there. A big loss for Panthers and British hockey.

Panthers should be hanging his banner from the rafters. Whilst not always agreeing with him you have to respect him, Neil Black and to an extent Corey for the progressive things they did for UK hockey. Jumping at the CHL when Steelers and Giants rejected it, introducing four line hockey into the UK and over seeing the only UK club to go beyond the CHL group stage. Gary Moran has clearly played a part in pushing the UK hockey ceiling and we as Devils fans have probably reaped the reward of that more than anyone.
