Yep, good luck Samps.

From a Hockey perspective, with so few decent Brits around I would have thought a few teams would have been chasing his signature and Samps retirement is only going to make the chase for the last few signatures even tougher.

Im glad we got the Brits sorted early.

Quite suprised by that.

Wouldn't be too shocked though if he does come out of retirement in a couple of months time to play for Newcastle.

I don't think Sample gets enough credit for for his performance on the Smith, Birbrear line, often people say that his points were all down to being on a line with smith, and while true it did help his points total, he worked very hard to stay with that line. He skated really well, worked the corners and always found space to receive passes. It was very similar to the way Ben Davies worked with Elich this year.
