Is that your way of saying it was clean? Guess the players head is down because he's looking for the wrap-around?

Clean or not it looks ugly :?

Hockey is a contact sport, for me its a clean hit. The guy with the puck hasnt got his head up, the challenge is front on, no elbows involved and he hasnt left the ice to jump in to him also theres no contact with the head. If any of the devils did that in a game we would be applauding him for it.

Err, thanks, I think

I think he does leave the ice and jumps into him personally.
I think it could be charging?
I dunno, just my opinion.
Hell of a reaction for a clean hit anyhows !

If any of the devils did that in a game we would be applauding him for it.
Would you applaud if Keefe did it to Ben Davies ?
I very much doubt it. :DWD

Wouldn't applaud it wouldn't say it wasn't clean either ... Just cos it's a heck of a reaction to a hit doesnt make the hit out of order

A good clean hit ..... Everyone reacting to the walloping thump rather than the hit in my view

I'm not saying it isn't clean, I cant make up my mind if honest. Just think it looks
a little ugly. the players head is down i think because he's attempting the
wrap around and is trying to keep a low centre of gravity.
I think a large level of bias would effect most peoples judgement on the hit.
If your player carried it out you'd be like "wow, what a hit" but if your player
was on the receiving end you'd be vying for retribution.

Genuine question, could it be deemed charging? If not, what could it be called
if anything.

Thanks in advance

it is a good clean hit, and a good example of heads up hockey, if you get caught with your head down this is usually the result, some players will take exception to a good clean hit, and some will stick up for line mates who get hit, in this case a good clean hit, which 1 or 2 take exception to, has to be expected in hockey

It's a clean hit, but you would expect someone to step up and take exception - it will make the other team think twice before throwing a big hit in that position again.
