Washington Capitals Have Traded A First Round Draft Pick This Year To Chicago Blackhawks To Acquire the Services Of Troy Brouwer.

Chicago Blackhawks Defenceman Brian Campbell Has Agreed To Waive His No Trade Clause To Accept A Deal With The Florida Panthers. The Deal Has Not Been Signed As Of Yet.

Blue Jackets picking up Carter was good for them. Voracek the other way.

Richards going to the Kings come back to haunt the Flyers? Still unsure on the netminder choice by the Flyers

Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day with the start of free agency. It makes me chuckle that even though it's the start of free agency, so many deals can get done that it feels (and gets the media coverage) similar to football transfer deadline day. Some big names in the mix, Steven Stamkos being a RFA still hasn't signed with the Bolts, Brad Richards, Christian Ehrhoff, Max Talbot, Roman Hamrlik and many more futures to be decided. Gutted I'm working so will miss the start at 5pm UK time

Zach Parise is the one making me nervous. Although the Devils have filed for arbitration, so we will be seeing him with a deal, if one isn't sorted this time next year he will walk.

Then there is Andy Greene. Devils have a lot of young D in the system, but Greene has been our big minute guy - he is an UFA, and I can't see us getting better for the money he is undoubtedly worth (probably $5-6mil over two year max). But, no news yet. I'm wondering if Lou is hoping that this No. 4 pick can jump directly in, and dump Salmella and Greene for the prospects.

Most of the rest of the key guys are signed up on long deals, and some guys we should shed are tied up on fat deals.

More interesting than the UK - over here it is just signing. Difficult to speculate or see trades in our market.

so some big deals got done - Jagr and Talbot to Flyers, Panthers signed a bunch of guys including Upshall, Wisniewski got a monster contract in Columbus, Varlamov to Avs, Caps got Ward and Hamrlik, Habs got Erik Cole, but still no news on Richards, Kaberle, Vokoun. Stamkos STILL not signed and now rumours that the Flyers are working on a MASSIVE deal?
