If the rumours are true and David Liffiton has signed for the Devils then things might actually be looking up for them.
David Liffiton is still only 29 and to be honest I reckon he'll have just as big an impact, if not a bigger impact, than Craig Weller did.

Cant be too many players who fit the experience given in the article on Wales online.
"It is thought the forward has played NHL, DEL in Germany, Swiss, Swedish, Finnish and American League hockey. He is currently in Europe and that makes it easier to bring him in quickly."

The mark for the biggest Devils BBT contract is a little sketchy, but depending on which source you trust it would be a whopper. At the Fan forum in Dempsey's last season Paul Ragan stated that Paul Bissonnette was on £1,000 a week.
If the new guy is worth more than that then he will truly be a star at this level.
Let's just hope he turns out to be a monster talent, and not a Giant dick or anything.

Surely the biggest contract would take length of contract into account.
Biz may have been on £1000 per week but for how many weeks? Total less than £10,000?
If this contract is £600 per week for 30 weeks it would be £18,000 and justifiably called the biggest contract ever. Would not assume that it is the biggest per week contract, can't see that one happening at the moment.
