Lines...

Every NHL game I've watched all season has had the same players on the same lines. From what I can see, teams change lines only when injury intervenes.

Every Devils game I've watched all season has had different forward lines. Hockey, perhaps more any sport other than basketball, requires chemistry and unspoken understanding between players on the ice/court together.

How can players build any chemistry when lines change every game, and even during the game itself? I don't understand the logic of it, but am happy to be corrected by anyone who's played hockey or knows it better than me.

Surely, training sessions during the week is the time to experiment?!
