Bad news for Josh. Fair play to him, he has filled in well when asked to play up front, a true team player. No doubt he is maturing nicely as a player and will come back fitter and stronger next season. Some years ago, teams were able to replace players who had been injured whilst on International duty. If this is still the case, surely we would be allowed a replacement for Phil Hill?

really be glad when this season ends, between the goings on regarding the extra import, players leaving, suspensions and now the run of season ending injuries to mac, hilly and now josh and jesse waiting to find out. feel sorry for the guys left who are fit and have to face the odds pretty much every night against full roster teams, they have my respect.

I believe it was for net minders only as they are considered a specialist case..

Not so. We brought in Paddy Scott - a winger or centre - for the play offs years ago ( did very well too !)

Correct it was indeed Paddy Scott, played with Doug MaCarthy at Milton Keynes Kings.Believe he scored in the play-off final at Wembley if my very tired memory serves me correct.

Absolutely gutted for Josh. His development this year has been so rapid. He will be gutted not to finish the season.

All the best for Josh's recovery. Looking forward to seeing him in action next season.

Ditto. He has been excellent since moving up front.

Will this mean G playing up front for the rest of the season? Going with 4 D (Kenton, Tyson, M Smith and Ritchie) would mean that we would have three forward lines, if G stays at the back then we are really looking at 2 and half....

Genuine question - anyone else worried there's a chance we might not even make the quarter final play off places? 6 games left - 4 away and our 2 at home are against 3rd and 1st. There's a debate on THF regarding whether it's possible for Hull to finish top of the Gardiner conference (but not finish top 8) which would still promote them to 2nd seed and 8th place would lose out (potentially us). I know this is all very unlikely, but who'd have thought with 6 games to go it'd be mathematically possible for us not to make the play offs!?

I just want to add that I'm not criticising the coach or players for the position we're in. We've clearly been very unlucky particularly since Christmas with injuries and such, and I was at the game on Sunday and like many others was very impressed with the determination and effort the players put in under tough circumstances.
