Not looking to promising, doesn't sound like he'll be around this weekend, maybe not for the next couple of weekends. Just have to cross the fingers that the swelling goes down quickly.

It's the sports council for Wales, and posted on their facebook the other day that reports of Derek Bekar joining the club were dismissed by the Devils.


Scottydoesntknow posted it on another thread the other day.


I'm not saying we wont be seeing another signing if Smith's injury is more than a fortnight, but i doubt it given the club have dismissed it.

I think we were severly hampered last year by waiting for players to return from injuries that were worse than first thought. I hope that doesn't damage our chances this year. Although its definitely worth waiting for a player of Smith's calibre, I hope the management act decisively if it becomes apparent that 2 more weeks is going to 6, 8 or even longer.
