Thinking of heading over to Budapest to watch some of this. Starts the week after the play-offs.

Week long break in a great City plus Ice Hockey thrown in. Seems like something that needs to be considered. Looked at flight & hotel prices and very reasonable at the moment. (no idea how much the games will be though)

Anyone been to any of these Championships before? Is it worth a trip?

Teams playing are: -

GBR / HUN / ITA / JPN / KAZ / KOR

Not been from a fans side but definitely worth doing speaking to a few who have and witnessing it from a different perspective. GB Supporters group normally run a trip and are a good bunch and you will make a few new friends etc Game tickets are not normally to expensive

Updated Hungary Information

We have secured a 4 start hotel half way between the tourist sights and the arena, the prices are Twin/Double £56 per room per night and a Single £52 per room per night both including breakfast ( triple rooms available on request)

With regards to flights the following airlines we believe travel to Budapest
BA from Heathrow – on a daily basis, 3 flights per day, price
s currently £196 return
Easyjet from Stansted – prices for April not yet known

Easyjet/Whizz from Luton – prices for April not yet known

Easyjet from Gatwick - – prices for April not yet known

Ryanair from Birmingham – prices for April not yet known

Jet 2 from Leeds Bradford – prices for April not yet known

Jet 2/Ryanair from Manchester – prices for April not yet known

There may be fights from other airports that we are not aware of – if you do know of any please can you let us know so we can advise other travellers

If you are interested a £30 deposit will secure your place. The hotel have requested that we advise them of numbers and send an initial deposit by 1st December after this any rooms that have not been allocated will be released back to them, therefore if you did wish to travel and have not advised us and paid a deposit by the 23rd November we cannot guarantee a room in the hotel.

Gneissgirl1 & myself are booked to go. Good crowd of fans from all over UK from both Elite & EPL. Other Cardiff fans go but make own arrangements. Never been to Hungary but their fans are great fun having met them in Slovenia.
