ENL Devils vs Chelmsford Chieftains - Bench Clearance!

Last season the ENL boys played Chelmsford in the playoffs and some of you may remember things got a little bit feisty... firstly after the game in the first leg then there was the infamous 'Moffat incident' in leg two where their goalie skated the length of the ice to try and fight Brabon. Needless to say there is no love lost between the 2 sides...

Last Saturday in Chelmsford the 2 sides met again, 3 mins to go and Novak badly slashed Brabon after he had covered the puck. Chris Hart then grabbed him and immediately and all the players on the ice started to tussle...then the Chieftains goalie skated the full length of the ice to get involved and this sparked a full bench clearance, for those interested there are some videos of the incident here:

Any word on suspensions?

I believe that the ENL Devils are in MK on Saturday and I thought I might pop along, will there be much of a team there?

Not many penalties were actually given out as a result of the brawl.

Griffiths got a match as he was in the box after a fight with BT Williams - they both left the penalty box then for the clearance. He served the 1 match ban against IOW on Sunday.

Fisher got a match for 'abuse of official'. If you watch the second video you see him fighting one of their guys and the lino gets in the middle and goes down. Lino claims Fisher caught him, from video looks more like Chelmo player caught him or he slipped. Awaiting outcome of disciplinary commitee to see if ban is longer than one match.
