is there going to be a mini league running this season?
i remember if you get the correct score of the games you get points?

it was all abit of fun but not sure if it was on here or the old eliteleague forum?

I'm not sure who did this before, I think it took place on the old Elite league forum.

I don't mind doing it if there is enough interest. All people would need to do is send their predictions for the weekends games?

So if anyone does want to give it a go then reply to this thread with predictions for the weekends games (score only):
As a time deadline only predictions up to on hour before faceoff on the first game of the weekend will be counted.

Steelers v Devils
Panthers v Giants
Devils v Giants
Blaze v Panthers
Stars v Steelers

I will start:

Steelers v Devils (2-4 Devils)
Panthers v Giants (3-2 Panthers)
Devils v Giants (2-1 Giants)
Blaze v Panthers (4-2 Blaze)
Stars v Steelers (3-2 Stars)

For a scoring system, I have shamefully stolen from a well known fantasy football score prediction site.

So scoring would work as follows:

Wrong Outcome = minus 10 points
Eg, If you predict a Devils win Saturday but the Steelers actually win

Correct Outcome but Wrong Goal Difference = plus 10 pts
Eg, If you predict Steelers 2 Devils 3, but the score is actually Steelers 2 Devils 4

Correct Outcome and Correct Goal Difference = plus 15 pts
Eg, If you predict Steelers 2 Devils 3, but the score is actually Steelers 1 Devils 2

Correct Result = plus 30 pts

Yes Finny you're right. Much easier to keep track of too. Ok, new rules:

1 point for correct team outcome
3 points for correct outcome and score

I don't mind doing it. Once the initial set-up is done it won't take long to update the points each week. I will then post the updated standings after each weekend.

That is, unless anyone else wants to do it.

I've just had a thought which is best we clear up before we start. What are we doing about overtime etc?
I.e. are we predicting the 60 minute result or the final result (i.e. no draws for league games).

Probably easier just to base predictions on final outcomes after O/T results.

The most feasible way otherwise would be 3 points for correct score and outcome in 60mins, with 2 points for correct score and outcome after O/T.
