And just like that the season is done and play-off hockey is here. Devils invite the Stars to the bay for the first leg of the quarter final. Stars have proved to be a feisty team with a lot of goals and a lot of PIMs so this will be a good final test for us. Devils will be seeking to make the second leg a formality. It's going to get a bit bum twitchy if this ends up being a close one.

I fear the devils being complacent and the stars coming with a plan. I think a narrow loss at home and then ending up with ot in Scotland.

As its our last home game of the season, its your last chance to bring your old radiators, copper pipes, or any other scrap metal for the bloke in block 13 with the megaphone.

Devils put a statement out yesterday about it. Apparently the swimming pool carpark is now for them and are permitted to turn away hockey parking.
They suggest parking in morrisons and paying a fee after 3 hours by visiting the parking app

https://www.cardiffdevils.com/news/car-parking-update-saturday/

"We have been informed this week by the Council that the pool has their carpark as part of their lease, so they have the right to close it off to other customers as and when they wish. This information is different to what we have previously been told so we apologise for misinforming Devils fans about this at our recent fan forum. Basically, don’t expect to be able to park in the pool carpark on Saturday, they will be monitoring it and making sure only pool customers use it. It is not the staff’s fault, they are allowed to do it"

What About toys r us car park ? Is that for pool and hockey or do we just park in Morrisons ?

Toys r us car park open to everyone and they will even open the overflow around the back if needed (£5 per car).

For morrisons it's free for 3hrs but if you go over then just pay the additional fee. The link is on the Devils website and also instructions on sign posts in morrisons car park on how to pay the extra to avoid a hefty fine.
I believe an additional 60 minutes in morrisons car park is also £5 (not 100% sure if you can get any discount through certain schemes).

It's good that the Devils have given this heads up. Obviously they were misinformed originally but as they said the swimming pool gala customers should be leaving by 5pm. The rink opens 5.30pm so hopefully there's very minimal issues during this crossover.
Hopefully everyone finds somewhere to park and we all have a great final night of Devils hockey together at the Vindico until next season !

Just popped to the Devils shop and asked one of the gala officials…. the finals start at 17:30 and run until just before 7pm but the bulk of swimmers should leave. Just want to manage expectations that there won’t be empty car parks when Devils fans start turning up but definitely more spaces than there are now.
