I think when Batch signed back this season he knew he would be the one to sit out games if everyone was fit.
If that’s the case, that’s poor from management. You should pick your form players. An on paper team never transpires to be what it actually is (don’t we know it!). If that’s the case and management already have their minds made up that’s real poor.

We bullied the blaze over both games. Best team won the tie imo (despite us trying to lose the game during that first period…)

Whether we beat Belfast next week is a different topic so will not think about that now. I’ll enjoy the win tonight and look forward to next week.

Oh and what a game by our bottom 6. Incredible over both games.

Was lovely to see devils style hockey the last 2 games, not the soft euro style shit, we must of done more hits in the last 2 games than all season! 3rd and 4th line won both nights for us! I feel for batch, he played better than Cody(who had another stinker tonight) and should of played especially being his last home game.

If Fournier is out with concussion, will Batchy be drawn in to the Team? Fitting finale to his career, a Playoff weekend. He certainly deserves it...Josh has been excellent this season. Head Coach, make it so.

Thought the reorganisation of the first two lines seemed to have neutered the potency of some of our players. Josh MacDonald was uncharacteristically ineffective. And Perlini had previously built some chemistry with O'Brien and Olischefski. Was PR experimenting?

Great game, very intense. So happy with the result! Line 3 & 4 put a huge shift in - thank you guys! Did anyone see the security incident in break after P2? 3 security guards ran past us (B20) and were moving people out of the way. They were running towards Blaze area. Just wondered what it was.

im pleased we made it but for the first half of this game we were second best and blaze were heavily outshooting us and 3-1 ahead but credit to the devils for turning it around in the last 30 mins.we can not afford to only play 30 mins against belfast because they will do to us what they did in the cc final.all belfast's goals were scored in the first 25 mins and it was game over.we've got to be be focused for the full 60 mins.our top two lines need to start clicking because we made it through on the back of the 3rd and 4th lines who were great all weekend.it worries me how little our top lines are contributing but hopefully they'll turn up next weekend.

I see the video clips of Alderson's DDT on Fournier are doing the rounds on Social Media - along with a consistent message of bewilderment as to how two of the Elite lLeague's top level officials can as llegedly review this and not arrive at some kind of sanction against Alderson, if nothing else under Player Safety, which allegedly is part of the Referees brief.

Like many, I can see the desire for Alderson to be made to answer the bell, but this season more than many in the past had seen the Linos step in before any fight starts, so it seems the Linos got the memo on player safety, but the referees didn't (perhaps there not to good at reading the guidelines)

At different times during the game, both coaches were exasperated beyond belief at the lack of calls (so in that sense, the standard of officiating was consistent, shockingly shite, but consistently shockingly shite).

Not seen amything from DOPS for a month or even maybe 2, it went downhill when tetlows hit
on ben delibrate attempt to injure, in fact ended up with a broken arm, dops didnt even review it, all tetlow had was a game ban on the night. officials have been to lenient this season regarding cheap shots, not just devils games either.

Looked to me like Alderson is on pretty good terms with the guys he played with last year, huged Brandt etc at the hand shakes and he looked pretty apologetic in his body language. Compare that to say the reaction Britain got when he came back to the vindico last year and caused a scene- no love lost there.

I think fighting should stick around and do wish we had more physicality , but retaliation after the fact in a won game is just asking for an instigator fine/suspension knowing the powers that be

Especially as no penalty was given to Alderson. Could have resulted in an extended PP for Blaze when the game wasn’t yet out of sight for them
