I liked how he seemed to change the tactics in the 2nd period and that was what put us on top for a long spell.

Instead of attacking as one unit and dumping and chasing, we left one (sometimes even two) forwards on their blue line. We would then clear the puck to them and they would lay it off for one of our faster skaters to break into the zone.

And as others have mentioned, the players seem to be really enjoying playing under him. When he speaks everyone is looking at him and listening, and they were even having a good laugh and joke with Svete when trying to explain the tactics for him during the time-out.

agreed the intro is garbage, it has never been the same without sully in charge, hope they get sully back for the new home, all that depends who is in charge at that time. :)
no way, the intro been dull since they moved away from the wnir one, and usless he drops his price he wont be there for awhile

thought the Devils put in a much improved performance last night, against a Giants side that in the first 2 periods didn't seem to get going (maybe they weren't allowed to). Devils had numerous opportunities to push further ahead, but didn't/couldn't take them. Giants started to play in the 3rd and got 2 quick goals to tie the game. This just showed that this Giants side doesn't like to lose, and IMO the draw was fair on both sides.
Credit to must go to Whis....pulling the netminder at the end trying to win the game.
Darnell made some strange calls and missed even more, but hey whats new there. People seem to be complaining about the Phillips incident, but that was a reaction to a very late hit after a icing by Harding.
Bit difficult to get motivated when the first leg was won so decisively, and surely the final outcome was never in doubt. But full credit to the Devils, who looked more organised and certainly more motivated than I have seen this season. All this bodes well for them for the remainder of the season.
Good to see batch going into have a word with phillips tho, no need for phillips to do what he did should have been sitting for 2 mins

Batch has also been one of our most consistent performers in recent weeks, IMO he's been playing really well. Although we could have done without the crazy schedule of the past few weeks he's one of the players who has certainly come out of it a better player. Solid in defence, getting decent going forward and the first player into any trouble. An absolute priority signing for next year.
