Devils COULD be Champions tonight

Thread starter #1
This being calculated on a Devils REGULATION win and a Braehead REGULATION loss.

That would eliminate Braehead from the title race, meaning the separation criteria could be used between us and Steelers:

1) Total number of points.
Would be tied at 72.

2) Total number of games won in regulation time.
Would be tied at 34.

3) Total number of all games won (regulation, overtime and penalties).
Would be tied at 29.

4) The results of games played between the relevant teams by applying points won, games won in regulation time, all games won (regulation time/overtime/penalties), in that order of priority.
Would be tied at 8 points each, 4 regulation wins each.

5) Fewest regulation losses.
EVEN with a loss v Panthers in regulation, it would be tied at 14 each.

6) Using away games:- points won, games won in regulation time, all games won (regulation time/overtime/penalties), in that order of priority.

Now this is the important one. In away games, Steelers have gained 29 points, to the Devils current 27 (with a regulation win tonight, that goes level at 29).
Games won in regulation time is the tie breaker, Steelers stand on 8, Devils on 10.

So by my calculations, a Devils regulation win, coupled with a Braehead regulation loss, would see us Champions, TONIGHT. :RAWK
