More of a concern would be him telling the team how awesome Belfast are every time we play them, cos he doesn't stop doing that when he's commentating.

Barrasso had zero interesting in actually coaching. He was using his relative proximity to Savile Row to get some new suits made.

How does that equate?

A physical player doesn't necessarily mean that its coached teams would be physical...

A difficult individual to work with. On and off the ice. Would be a major clash of personalities with Todd and the owners.

Not sure it's going to be Pete Russell anymore. He just guided his Ravensberg Towerstars team to win the playoffs and promotion to the DEL league.

They won the play offs but they don't get promoted. So as far as playing standards go it would be a similar move as EIHL and DEL2 are often compared as being similar quality. But he has surely put his name in the hat for any DEL or other European leagues looking for a coach though.

From a purely career stand point I'd agree, but it's always possible there's other factors at play. That said, there seems to be a variety of candidates available.
