Credit where it’s due, irrespective of the result - which was needed and welcome - the guys gave it their all and that’s what we expect of our team. Such was the style we played last night that Panthers were contained in their half for much of the game and only rarely looked like getting back into the game in the first period, after that, they were blown away.
Not going to single any player out for playing well as the whole team excelled, especially after such a poor showing the night before. On to the next competitive game when we hope some of our injured guys will be back.

If we win our games in hand (which of course you can't) there are about six teams that could be more or less level points. It is going to be a very interesting season indeed.

We can talk about some great individual performances but the most important thing is the team performance. They really worked for each other. The passes were tape to tape. When one made a mistake or was struggling to keep possession of the puck someone was straight there to rescue him. They were communicating better. They forechecked, they backchecked. They protected Bowns. If someone took a hard hit a teammate returned the favour to another Panther. Best team performance I have seen in a while. This is the Devils we know and love to watch. Welcome back Cardiff Devils
