Cardiff Devils (ENL) v Romford Raiders

Thread starter #1
Following an ill tempered affair last Sunday at Rom Valley Way the ENL Devils face last years EPL team the Romford Raiders for the third time this season. Romford have only lost one game and that was to the Devils at the Cardiff Bay arena a couple of weeks ago.

The two games couldn’t have been more different with the Devils taking the lead 6-3 in the first game and Romford coming out on top 6-2 in the game last Sunday in what turned out to be tough game in more ways then one, three fights in the third period proved the Devils will not take defeat lying down at home or away.

Face off 7pm - doors open 6pm

Tickets for the game can be purchased on the day £5 Adults £2.50 Kids and season ticket holders DCF Members get in for free.

5-7 to Raiders
Bad times.

Devils deserved a point from that to my money. they hit the post a few times and and in the 3rd we were inches from connecting a few crosses that could have made the finish a lot tighter! If only the forwards were an inch taller!

A good game dispute the result. Devils didn't go behind till near the end and kept their heads up. Bring on next week.

Only 2 officials but they did a good job to my money. Nothing too major missed.

Off the ice; a small turn out and a little bit of unsavory anti-welsh banta from some of the visiting fans. tut tut.

:(
Felt the guys came out firing on all cylinders (you could tell they wanted the winthis one) and did well to hold it through to the 3rd with tit for tat scoring. Up until then thought the guys were by far the better team. A totally better performance than against Invicta.

Regards defence anybody know where Cowmeadow is? Haven't seen him for a few games :?

There was something going on by the sin bin when Dixon was in there in the 3rd. Looked to me there were three guys (never seen them before) shouting stuff at Dix. He wasn't happy!
Didn't hear anything around by us though.

So onto Streatham tonight!

Come on you DEVILS!!

The guys given it all the anti welsh jokes in block 8 were a threesome (3 tall guys wearing non hockey clothes) and disappeared in the 3rd to watch from the glass down that side so it dosen't take a leap of imagination that it was them diving Dix some grief. Don't need that sort of thing IMO.
