The Red Army
Last night the Red Army Supporters Club met with Brent Pope and Devils coach Gerad Adams, along with other fan groups to formulate plans and to try and get the whole of the Devils fan base united under one banner, the RED ARMY.
As well as Red Army Supporters Club the meeting was made up of representatives from The Inferno, Red Army Travel and other individuals looking to help the club. John Donovan who was behind the Legends game to celebrate the 25th year of the Devils also attended.
It was a positive meeting which was very open and everyone had time to air their views and ideas for ways that the club could work better with their supporters with the aim to work as one to push the club forward. Plenty of ideas were thrown about and will be looked into more detail very shortly and while all groups remain as independent parties, all agreed there was a common goal, and that is to support the club and help it progress. At the end of the meeting Gerad Adams had this to say:
"I was surprised how it went. As with the people in the room there's so many different aspects in the team and people are generally so passionate about it. It does go both ways but for it to come together like this, it's exciting, and I'm happy to be a part of it. I'm really excited to be involved, and think it will make our team better in a lot of aspects. The support will be better, communication will be better, which is always our fall down of our team.
"Mostly it's the communication. To get this better, all throughout and to have so many people willing to do it is great. It was a good day and really exciting and I look forward to the next meeting"
