NIHL 1 Devils v Wighlink Raiders 7/19 7pm FO

Jeremy Cornish brings his Isle of Wight Raiders to the BBT this Sunday as the Cardiff Devils NIHL boys are back in action. A quick look at the the Devils opponents sees Cornish has been using his contacts wisely within the game to recruit strongly over the summer to add to an already formidable roster. He has brought in no fewer that 4 players that were playing EPL last year - goal scorers Robbie Brown and Craig Tribe, Defenseman Nick Compton and goalkeeper Matt Colcough. Add to that import signing Jiri Hanzal who was earning his trade in the Elite league at Edinburgh Capitals last season and the fiery ex-Devil Corey Watkins joins from rivals Invicta Dynamos. All in all an impressive summers work by Cornish will make his team contenders for the title again and an imposing threat to any team.
The home side however have really started to gel over the last few weeks after a large amount of changes to their set up too. Currently flying high in the league, last time out the NIHL Devils recorded impressive back to back victories over Streatham Redskins and Invicta Dynamos proving them to be in good form and well rested having had last weekend off. For those that haven't made an NIHL home game yet this season, those that have can testify that the games have been action packed. Hard hitting, fast skating, and lots of goals. Its early doors to be looking at statistics but the Devils have 4 players currently in the top 10 points table, who will be facing a goalie with a 95% save percentage.
