ENL Weekend Preview - 25th & 26th November

The ENL Devils had a great weekend picking up a 4 point weekend against their rivals Bristol Pitbulls and Wightlink Raiders. The ENL travelled to Bristol full of confidence after going 6 games unbeaten and looking to put right the score line from their last encounter v the Pitbulls. The Devils came away with a great 6-2 win and this gave them even more confidence ahead of the big game v Wightlink Raiders. Jeremy Cornish teams are never easy to beat and the performance was perfect from the ENL boys despite being short benched due to injuries and step up's to the Elite League Devils.

We caught up with Chris Jones after the weekend's games.

“It was a great weekend for us with 2 rivals, one being local rivals in Bristol, and Jeremy Cornish's IOW. The 6-2 win in Bristol was a good display from us goals came from Chris Jones, Adam Harding, Jamie Hayes, Jordan Powell and 2 from James Preece. We felt they didn't deserve to be on the same ice as us never mind the 3-3 draw with us a few games ago and we owed them one! Then the IOW game was a good game from the both teams and the difference was our goalie (Mike Brabon) with an outstanding performance earning MOM. also that's 8 games unbeaten for us and were looking to keep it going”

This weekend, the ENL Devils face Oxford home before a tough trip to face Romford Raiders on Sunday. Oxford City Stars are never an easy game and this have proved with the previous meetings between the teams. First game ended 2-2 and a big road win for the Devils 8-5. Lots of experience within the ranks and never count them out to step up and put pressure on the Devils.
