Devils NIHL 2 Fixtures + Players In/Out

So the NIHL 2 Devils season is about to get underway at home this Saturday against Wightlink Tigers. It was an up and down season last year for the Satans but a strong finish to the year despite line up changes due to calls ups/injuries.

Face off for Saturday's game is 7PM.

We caught up with team captain Matt Griffiths to look back at least season and the new challenge ahead.

"Last season in my opinion was all about gelling as a team whilst trying to finish as high up the table as possible. I feel we have done that and after a very good Summer with Lyndon Pezzack (Head Coach) and Dan Brabon (Ass Coach) in charge we have become a family of players ready to give everything it takes to win. With the youngsters coming through the ranks to join the older players there is now a great balance of speed, skill, toughness and experience.
 
With Lyndon Pezzack (Head Coach) and Dan Brabon (Ass. Coach) as the new coaching staff they bring a huge amount of hockey knowledge and experience to the team. I personal think they are a great addition. They both demand a very high standard of hockey from every player every time they step foot on the ice. It is a very professional feel to the team with these two at the helm which will install a great culture for the players young and old to follow.
 
On a personal level its an honour to be asked to continue to Captain our team of future stars for the 2012/13 season. An opportunity that I really appreciate from Lyndon. 
 
We have a real opportunity this season and the team are all working extremely hard over the Summer to ensure it is going to be a real exciting season ahead. Are aim is to finish higher up the table this year whilst continuing to improve the development of the players we have. We are all rearing to go now and can't wait to get on the ice.
