A hypothetical question here really, but if Team GB ever qualified for the Winter Olympics how would it affect the EIHL?
Would we carry on as normal without the Brits, putting the teams with those players at a major disadvantage?
Would we have a 3 week mid season break? Maybe starting a week or so earlier than normal and finishing a week or so later? This meaning the playoffs would have to change dates etc and clubs would have to pay players for 3 extra weeks whilst making no money.
Or take a 3 week break and cram in to an already hectic schedule the games that would have been played during this time?
Just watching the ice hockey and it got me thinking.
Cheers.
