Storm Vs Devils - League - 23rd Mar 24 - FO 17:00

So why do you think they ain’t doing that, it ain’t rocket science.
So if PR is in the locker room saying, “go out and play physical, hit hard, battle hard and go
To the dirty areas,” then the players go out and play like that, who’s that on the players or the coach?

As a player you can’t be happy getting turned over like that. You don’t need your coach to tell you to go out and do something about it. These are professionals, not u12s.

Have some self pride and do something about it

But Pete Russell is the person who recruited these players. I was firmly Pete Russell in but to lose a final 4-0, then go to Nottingham and Manchester (A rink we hadn’t lost in for a long time) and get turned over is not good enough. A playoff win would just be another paper over the cracks job like DuPont. Who comes after Pete I don’t know, but I can’t back him anymore given the performances that I’ve seen over the past couple of weeks and performances I expect to see next season

The interview is on you tube Manchester storm site..I'm a dinosaur and can't do links on here soz ..PR fuming.
Not surprised he’s fuming as that really was poor, as I put at the top I travelled more in hope than expectation but it really was a shocker. Defensively we were very weak and too many players were coasting. Absolutely expected a Storm win as they had to get a result but the lack of fight was frustrating.

Not totally sure what’s happened to the Conti Cup winners, we know they can do it but the worry is the caveat is ‘when they want to’….

I don’t think we’ve recruited badly.

Shinkaruk looked outstanding start of the season, no one could have predicted we’d be without him for most of it.
Duke has been out for weeks now. Middle of the season we were at least 5 imports out most weeks.

I think it’s unfair to blame Russel and the team he’s put together when he’s only had that full team available for a handful of weeks this year.

It’s frustrating getting beat tonight I get it but players have to take responsibility tonight I think.

I don't think it unfair, he is bang average coach who been backed up in the gb set up by better coach, his euro style rubbish does not work in this league, lines change more time than a drug user, line combo don't work and players are not being demand enough. We know the player can do it, they choose when they want too. Look at o Brian Friday, full energy, getting back, fighting for the puck. Most of the season done very little in terms of working as a team. All the blame starts at the top! Same with any company

I hate to admit it but I haven't been down to a game since Belfast on 26th Jan. The hockey by and large is not entertaining, the effort seems to be lacking and we seem to just put the effort in randomly as and when the players can be arsed.
I won't attend any more games this season and just see how recruitment goes in the off season.
Been going since season one so not enjoying the fact I can't be arsed.:(

If he's lost the locker room, then they won't play for him. That'll be on him.

“Lost the locker room”
‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️

So when we beat Belfast 2 days ago, had he lost the locker room then or just when we lose?

Honestly I’m just as pissed off as the next fan at any loss but some of the shite people spout on here after we get beat is comical.

That’s enough for tonight.

Night all

due to the inconsistency of how we play games , its possible that there may have been issues in the locker room throughout the season , and maybe what happened at Nottingham set it off again, but regardless i must say 75% of the time watching Cardiff has been boring

Funnily enough, next game Coventry came to Cardiff and shut us out 5-0 when we were going through the motions waiting for the play-offs. We played horribly that night in a game that had no meaning for us.
