i think we are moving into a new era of ice hockey in the uk, especially looking at Manchester storm move . this season i think they will do well and consolidate Thayer move , ending between 3-6 in the league , but next season 2027-2028 , they will have a better understanding of expected season ticket sales , and i cant wait to see how fast they can build the crowds , last time they was in this building they averaged 4000-6000+ though their peak crowds reached 17000 , interesting time for storm. anything that brings more eyes on the sport is a good thing, hopefully new arena's .
I'm a bit hazy on this but wasn't the 1700 essentially a benefit for Steelers who 30 years ago had financial problems. The game was supported by the rest of the league

Yes ideally we get fired to a clean sweep of all the trophies by Messrs Mieho, Caron, Welsh, Sacratini and all the returnees.
However, if we play entertaining and committed hockey then the majority of fans will be content. If we don't win the league but entertain and are competitive we won't be demanding Thommo is given his P45.
The pressure to win at the House of Rust is massive every year no matter what due to the size and entitlement of the fan base. But this season they are coming off yet another year of no silverware (Fox has only won trophies in 2 of his 7 seasons) and now with the CVs of their chequebook signings they won't have any excuses if they once again end the season empty handed.

They usually gas 1 or 2 during season and some leave at own request, plus injuries a factor which could happen to their top end players, all ifs and buts, but fox will want a trophy if not he is gone , simples especially if they broken the bank to get these players in .really hope it backfires on them .
It’s hard not to get a bit jealous at this time of the year when other teams are finishing their recruitment with statement signings, where as the Devils (in my opinion) have played it very safe this summer.

Surely entertainment would come high up on the wishes of most Devil's fans? it certainly does on my list. Winning trophies is of course wonderful but budget will always be a big factor in where those trophies go, if I head home after a game and I've seen an entertaining game with both sides giving it their all I can't realistically ask for more.
