Sheffield really are the gift that keeps on giving.

They have confirmed on twitter today the two have departed the club.

No news on who the decision came from just yet, awaiting a badly written PR.

That management of that club is such a joke sometimes. They have probably made some of the biggest strides off ice in the league this year. Then they still employ, but worst of all, trust that moron Thompson. The rhetoric will be, give it time, lots of changes etc etc, but then were these two players given sufficient time to make a huge playing and life adjustment coming over here?

Thompson is finished and the longer the Steelers employ him the better.

Totally agree, Tommo is one of those coaches whose had a lot of success in the pas & thinks he can sit back on old methods & get the same results. Things have moved on. Steelers need someone fresh in without all the baggage Thommo brings.

What a contrast we have in in coaches. Even after their worst defeats Lordo always stands by his players. Thommo gives them a few games and then sacks them because they are lacking points. New players always take time to settle. Linglet was low on points until last night but Lordo has faith in his players. What happens - Linglet gives a 1+4 MOM performance and am sure he will rack up points the rest of the season. Thommo may be good at recruiting highly skilful individuals but Lordo is much better at building a team.
Surely Sheffields management has to ask some questions when 90% of the team don't return and two new recruits are sacked that quickly.

He can sign highly skilful individuals, but he can't get them to perform to their best. Man management skills are poor.
