Maybe a bit out there in my thinking, but what about signing Harewood up full time to a 2 or 3 year contract, then loaning him to Fife. They’re recruiting young British a bit and would mean he’d get lots of minutes at this level to help his development rather than maybe a bit part? Then after a year we can see where he’s really at.
Harewood is a local boy, if I was him I wouldn’t want to sign for Cardiff and play in Scotland, especially if I was going to lose regularly I would want to learn from Thommo and devils players and to turn out for my home team. Yes he may get more ice time but he is ready I reckon to push for a regular spot in Devils team.
Don’t disagree with what you’re saying. Just we’re talking speculative recruitment and where Harewood would fit in that. Just weighing up the opportunity of significant game time to really kick on and cement a substantial place at the Devils a season later. Particularly if Fife are recruiting younger Brits you’d assume he’d know them all from GB.
