Good move by them . at least they would have good maintenance to the building. hmmmm
The largest indoor arena in Cardiff currently is (formerly the Cardiff International Arena or CIA
It has a capacity of up to 5,000 (seated), or
New Cardiff Bay Arena (also called the Atlantic Wharf arena) is under construction in Cardiff Bay and is set to open in 2028. It will have a capacity of 15,358 seated, hmmmm come on keep up with the Joneses

It’s an interesting move given playing out of that arena previously was what killed the storm. However with Co-Op live coming online as a rival arena in Manchester the AO may have been forced to diversify and give less aggressive rates to a consistent resident. Again it’s a scenario of building rather than immediate return but the potential is obviously massive. Also helps they are located close to Sheffield and Notts and away travel will supplement attendances. Good luck to them.

It does pose questions for the Devils. If the league can get its ducks in a row and start being sustainable playing out of the arenas then Devils will have to evolve. Not a problem of their making or a solution they can control so very unfortunate. The dream scenario is an EIHL team also goes into Bristol’s new arena and you develop that co beneficial rivalry.

With the amount of arenas being built the landscape for a different league is opening up but the league has to control themselves when it comes to imports and let the product grow via evolution and not an artificial product based a financial dump.

Interesting few years ahead.

I think Mooney#16 has hit the nail on the head re competition from the Co-Op arena which could give storm more stability than other arenas where teams are competing with events
Also central Manchester should attract greater numbers due to it's far better accesability
Also rumour has it that the ice plant is still there - not maintained but mothballed
Interesting times

I mean wow, talk about holding a grudge and trying to be funny, nailed it! Majority of your posts last few years have been about the gantry and now the cost increases. I don't know if anyone else actually finds it funny but its getting boring
No grudges held whatsoever. The most interesting thing to post about over the past few years under DuPont and Russell was the Gantry!

Any one think heard will be back at the Steelers, he was not wanted at clan antics on/off ice and his red mist and silly penalties in games cost steelers points, he unloaded on oligny in our last meeting at vindico after coming out of penalty box for stupid penalty, in the playoff final he gave us the opportunity to get the edge over steelers in the first minute and we never looked back on it .just saying

I’m bringing some ‘Offseason Nonsense’ energy rather than rumour here but…

Christian Stoever just posted on instagram a selection of pics over the last year with a caption of ‘That was fun, thank you Cardiff’

Read into it what you like.

Playoff Shirts Auction.
Stover and Martin top of the pops for Devils.
I just checked on Sheffield - we seem to be willing to pay almost twice as much.
Well we were Champions!

Interesting one that,? i think Stoever has been solid and had a good season, a number 1 spot would be well deserved. or a 50/50 split with bowns, as a transition season, i was/still am a Carruth fan. but did he get as many games as stoever, and then you got to say the team in front didn't help him out at all. i think we never saw his best. hes 34 now anyway. id like to see stoever become 1st choice this or next season.
