On paper that’s exactly what we needed. Experienced stay at home D man. Fingers crossed it doesn’t take him too long to find his feet

Now that is a statement of intent signing and exactly what we have been crying out for. Massive thanks to Steve and the owners for getting this done! Welcome to Cardiff Shaone

Looks a superb signing, memories of Strachan here, 480 games in the NHL, big guy looks like we may just have struck gold, wonder if anyone is leaving to enable this signing.
I’m thinking maybe move Reddick as a forward and then partner this guy up with maybe Jardine or Fourns...could be an option. Great signing!

If he has an impact on the team like weller and strachan did coming after the season has started the fans will love him. Love the fact that the management are prepared to do whatever it takes to win and be successful.welcome to cardiff Shoane .

Top quality the stay at home D man we have been crying out for, but we need to spell his name right. On our website and on Elite it's Shaone . :)

The Inferno gets a bad rep but what many posters have been crying out for of late (bar the usual suspects) is more physicality and a big, strong, stay at home D man. And we‘ve had both this past few days, so someone is listening!
It wasn't the inferno, it was Steve King. The article says he nearly came in the off season after being targeted by Steve but due to prior commitments they couldn't get it over the line. They kept in contact and told him when he was ready to let the Devils know, which he did.

At 36 though even with his resume, let’s see if this one does bring the speed, quality of play and physicality others didn‘t or as yet to show.
On paper an amazing signing, shouldn’t need much coaching, he’s got plenty of class, just let him do his thing. Can’t wait to see this guy, again.

Great statement of intent.

I’m not saying it was the Inferno! I’m saying that maybe some sense is posted on here from time to time (despite some unfair criticism!), borne out in what we’ve seen this past few days.

Great... Just what the rest of the league needed !!! Guess that's another 0 point weekend for the Giants when they visit Cardiff.

Great statement of intent.[/QUOTE]
