Peter Russell head coach of Milton Keynes Lightning is to leave at the end of the season. Think we may just now know Corey Neilson’s replacement at Panthers.

I’d be amazed if Russell ended up as Panthers head coach next season.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Neilsen was Lightning coach though.

Can see jeremy cornish at mkl but just can not see Russell at Nottingham. Adey or new to league for panthers.

Russel has taken what on paper is a good team, straight to the bottom of the table. I’d be very surprised if Nottingham would want him there.

MKL were a team who started well this season. They have some very good players. But they have been blighted with repeated injuries and bans, players leaving and joining, there has been no proper opportunity for consistency.

With the history of silverware under Corey and their impact in Europe, you would imagine that the Panthers' organisation would be scouting for a higher level coach with vast and varied experience to help bring more success.

Their fans know how the hierachy operates there ....and are expecting an unispiring coaching appointment involving the minimum scouting and cost.
