Grimsby Ice Rink

We had the Grimsby Junior Hockey club with us for our tournament this weekend, unfortunately this may be the last time, the council (idiots) want to shut there rink, there is an online petition that they asked us all to sign as each loss of a rink impacts us all in the sport, as the next great player may come from the North and eat Haddock.

It is really crappy. The firm that runs the councils leisure facilities seem to have no interest in the ice rink. They don't advertise it at all, and there no real push for the use.

I guess they will get their wish to not run it when they redevelop the centre.

It is a big shame - not many towns have ice facilities so handy for them. You would think they would make something of it.
