Unlike the Martin announcement, there‘s no mention of him coming back either. Not surprising, but very unwelcome news.

Big loss, we all loved Gleason but as always we move on, just like losing Hotham and many others we get it sorted. It’s always positive with our club thankfully.

Not been watching any other teams announcements but are there other teams shedding their best players to other leagues? If so this season i would say is definitely over.

Yes it's been very quiet other clubs, they probably know deep down it's not gonna happen with lockdown on the increase , across uk and now caerphilly.

Fourns has been awesome for the last 5 years. A fantastic player and fan favorite. Bottom line is that these players need employment and need to keep playing. A year doing nothing can be detrimental to their careers and fitness.

Gleason deserves that opportunity and he should be wished nothing but the best. If we didn't lose him now we might well have lost him next season or the one after that.

Will not be surprised to see other player departures from our Club and others. Very sad but its looking less likely now that there will be a season anytime soon.

Not seen a player skate like that since Dougie. Superb player. Coast to coast memories aplenty. Thank you Gleason. Best of luck.

Just like Martin....this is another huge loss to the Devils team. Completely understandable as I had previously foreseen and mentioned. wont be long before we see Haddad on his way I think, players have to a earn living from the game, it can be a short career and they have to do what’s best for themselves. Can’t see him coming back and we will have to be extremely lucky to replace such a great D man who skates so elegantly and manages to put up great numbers too. Good luck to him, we have benefitted from having him play for us, a big loss for sure.

All Panthers players (including the coach) were told ages ago to start looking at other opportunities, hence Matheson & Connelly going first then Herr. All these great players leaving is surely a sign this season is a write off, cant believe the EIHL have hung on so long. The NIC in Nottm has no plans at all to have mass crowds in and 99% of all the office based staff have been made redundant so there is no way soon that we're going back.

Giants confirm players not stopped from seeking other opportunities elsewhere.

"Due to the constantly evolving situation, we informed our players very early during this pandemic that we were not going to hold them back from finding other opportunities and we have been keeping them updated with our conversations with the Elite League Board."
