I don’t have problem with the decision tonight. I’m sure there must be an angle that shows what happened that we haven’t seen. If his blocker was interfered with then no arguments. My issue is how it goes about getting reviewed. Do coaches haves one challenge per game or something? If so then fair enough. Keefe used his challenge wisely but I didn’t think that was part of our game.
Both officials gave the goal on the ice. What happened after that is the farce. It took five mins of reviewing to find the slightest infringement. Hardly clear and obvious. Then you have the Belfast official influencing the review. Total farce.

I wanted a competitive team this year and I saw that last night. We came up short. We are the third best team in the league this year but we battled and battled hard. Fair play to the lads.

Darnell saying that it was defo a no goal. No skates in the crease but the stick interferes with the goalies blocker. We just aren’t being shown the angle that the fella had on his dads laptop in amongst the You Porn clips. Oh well. We move on.

Can anyone tell me what happened to the idea of the "war room" to review this sort of thing in games? Did that get quietly dropped like having proper video review that works at all rinks? (I'm thinking of the incident at our rink where it didn't work, and at one of the Scottish rinks where it doesn't seem to be installed).

Assuming things are going to be normalised covid-wise, the league needs to take a long hard look at itself in the summer. It has gone from an organisation with aspirations to stand alongside other European leagues to bring one step above a beer league.

Yeah you’re right. The overhead angle might look a lot worse than the angles we saw on premier sports but as you said it’s how they went about reviewing it that stinks a bit. Bloody amateur hour. If you’re disallowing that goal then you could probably disallow one or two good goals every game. It looked soft
I see Darnell thinks it was the correct call and he’s laughing about the meltdown on twitter. And no doubt Dalton and Sewell are still backing their decision. That’s the problem we’ve got in the UK, I’m positive if you had two NHL referees reviewing that goal this morning they would probably say “why was it even reviewed”. I don’t expect great referees in the EIHL but god they’re so weak.

Here’s a question, if there was goalie interference to disallow the goal why didn’t we get a penalty, we played out the last minute 5 on 5 why was that. Either it was a penalty or it wasn’t, bloody cheating gits.

Agree. Problem we have is that we aren’t the NHL and never will be (I know you know this). It’s a life time of hockey disappointment if we use that as our benchmark. If Coughler interfered and the camera angel showed that then even if it’s the mildest of interference it’s still no goal. Frustrating as hell but still no goal. The circus that surrounds this is embarrassing.
Imagine the amount of times someone like Kipper must have to bite his tongue when his plays are reviewed on his laptop. At least he knows he can get involved now and I’d pay good money to listen in to that conversation! Problem is, he has too much respect for the game to even contemplate it.

A pathetic referee too, I wouldn’t take any notice of him.

How has Darnell seen this overhead clip which shows the so called interference? Is he involved with our refs these days, with access to stuff like this? If he is, at least that explains why they’re still shit. The EIHL should publish this clip, so we can all see how we've got it so badly wrong!

The issue is “intentional“ is the action an intentional action or is it a consequence of playing a very fast paced physical action on ice at a speed that cannot be controlled by the person. That has to be judged by the referees, I’m sorry but 5 min to judge that stinks of cheating, if anyone believes U.K. hockey isn’t vulnerable to financial influences their very nieve. Either people had some very big bets on that game or the league........

I know Skalde had a rant after those cheating tits robbed us and I don't blame him, just wondering if he or the club will get fined by the Eihl ..for his outburst.
