Looking back at the highlights it looks like Martin had the puck in his hands, then dropped it so he could hit it in with his stick, but the puck missed his stick and trickled over the line. Correct decision on the ice imo.

The angle I saw it from shows Joey being pushed and held against the net and looks like he moves his foot away as the puck trickles past it, think the Giants were lucky with that call to disallow the Devils goal
